Arbor Day at Bair Island

Saturday April 28th - 9:00am

Arbor Day is a celebration of our trees and a time to plant new plants. Although wetlands don’t naturally support many trees to celebrate, you can come learn about the unique species that make the San Francisco Bay so incredibly special. We will be removing invasive species, tending to native plants installed this past winter, and enjoying the sunshine, birds, and flowers of beautiful the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.

Surfrider Beach Cleanup - Baker Beach

Sunday April 29th - 10:00am
Baker Beach
1770 Gibson Rd
San Francisco, CA 94129

Beach clean-up 10am-12pm. Drop-in and groups welcome. Hot coffee provided. We also encourage participants to bring their own gloves, grabbers, or buckets. Come on down, have a snack, and help save the beach!
*Note* rain cancels clean-ups, please see updated information facebook.com/sfsurfrider

Whack Away Weeds at the Palo Alto Baylands

Saturday May 5th - 9:00am
Baylands Nature Preserve Ranger Station
2500 Embarcadero Road
Palo Alto, CA 94303

Do you want to help heal the Bay? Join us this Saturday at the beautiful Palo Alto Baylands to remove nasty invasive species. Invasive species such as mustard, fennel, and buttercup compete with native bay area species for resources and threaten the delicate ecological balance of our marshes. With your help, we can prevent the spread of these invasive species and improve the growth and survivorship of our native seedlings.

Surfrider Beach Cleanup - Ocean Beach

Sunday May 6th - 10:00am
Ocean Beach @ Stairwell 17 Across the Street from Beach Chalet Restaurant
Point Lobos Ave, Great Hwy

Beach clean-up 10am-12pm. Drop-in and groups. We also encourage participants to bring their own gloves, grabbers, or buckets. Come on down and help save the beach!
