GOOD NEWS:  Programs to recycle paper - including newsprint - are widespread across the country.  Take advantage of the arrangements in  your area.  Check to see if your local programs require papers to be tied or bagged, and whether they involve drop off locations or curbside pickup.

Do your part:  If every American recycled just one newspaper a week, about 36 million trees a year would be spared.  Making recycled newspaper takes half as much energy as producing virgin newsprint.
